Description

Robert Half is currently working with a company in the non-profit sector on a 2 month long project. In this role, you will support the organization with their accounting operations in addition to their month end and year end close. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking for a short-term project and help an organization in need of help!

Responsibilities:

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) tasks, including issuing checks via the bank's bill pay platform, entering data into the system, and obtaining approvals

• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) duties

• Oversee General Ledger (GL) tasks, including making journal entries and collecting supporting documents

• Conduct bank and account reconciliations, as well as revenue reconciliations

• Review sales tax information and manage fixed assets

• Assist with year-end close support as needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a staff accountant, ideally with at least 5 years in the field

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience with bank reconciliations is required

• Working knowledge of general ledger operations

• Familiarity with journal entries and their implications

• Experience in month-end close procedures

• Proficiency in Blackbaud, MIP (Abila) or a similar accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
