Responsibilities

Fairmount Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, and adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. Fairmount is a 173 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Fairmount has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, on a beautiful 27-acre campus, Fairmount is situated in close proximity to the Wissahickon Valley Park, offering a beautiful, peaceful setting with all the conveniences of the city nearby.

The Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room area, assumes dishwashing and pot responsibilities, receives incoming deliveries, maintains stock in the storage and dining room areas and delivers patient meal trays to the units. The Tray position is responsible for assembling patient food trays in accordance with the specified dietary requirements. Both positions function in accordance with established policies and procedures and in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivilent. Prefer food service experience preferable in a hospital, health care or hospitality setting. Knowledge of basic math, equipment usage, cleaning products, safety and infection control practices preferred.
