Robert Half is seeking either a Staff or Senior Accountant for one of their growing clients in the Metro Area. This Accountant position is responsible for assisting in crucial financial operations of the organization including the month-end close process, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations. The position also involves managing tasks like variance analysis, cost accounting, evaluating capital acquisition proposals, and managing the company’s inventory. The person in this role will also manage fixed assets & depreciation and lease obligations, provide support for external audits, develop operational performance metrics, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting effort. Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate accounting, preferably within the manufacturing/construction industry.

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service oriented approach.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while also capable of working independently.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• CPA or other relevant certification is a plus.

• Previous experience with financial statement preparation is a plus.
