ManpowerGroup IT Software Developer (Entry Level) in Memphis, Tennessee
Our client,is looking for a new Entry Level Developer who wants to grow to join their team!
Job Title: IT Software Developer (Entry Level) - 1 year
Hybrid - 2 days a week in office
Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid Position - Corporate office attendance required on Wednesdays)
Duration: Contract to Hire
Skills Required:
Troubleshooting skills
Proficiency in writing queries to extract data from databases using SQL or similar backend query languages
Familiarity with Web Services and APIs
Ability to multitask effectively
Collaboration with customers and team members to analyze and resolve issues
Strong teamwork abilities
Critical thinking skills to identify root causes and propose solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand code and resolve support tickets within defined SLAs with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Rest APIs
Experience with document source control software
Familiarity with Service Now or other IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
Corporate Networking experience
Familiarity with Ubuntu/Unix
Primary Purpose:
To receive orientation and training in the software development lifecycle. Under close supervision, the incumbent will assist in developing/modifying simple software programs, submitting requirements to programmers, and participating in review sessions with IT colleagues.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop understanding of IT processes and procedures, including software development lifecycle
Acquire skills and knowledge in required development language for assigned tasks
Assist in data and system analysis, including process flows, data diagrams, and testing
Collaborate with technical leaders to investigate and resolve issues in a timely manner
Adhere to departmental standards and guidelines for design and development
Maintain highest quality of customer service to clients
Additional Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform other duties as assigned
Support the organization's quality program(s)
Qualifications:
Education & Licensing: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred, preferably in information systems or computer science. Education in user requirements interpretation, business applications design, and development strongly preferred.
Experience: Specific knowledge of Oracle databases, PL/SQL, C#/C++/C, Open Source, Korn Shell Script, Perl, or Progress 4GL highly preferred.
