Purpose:

To achieve our ambition, identification of clear opportunities through market insights and steering the commercial teams towards the right priorities is key.

The focus of this role is to tap into all data sources available, lead those and look for new ways to drive insights, develop analyses that can fuel stronger commercial plans or adjust them to win in the market.

Job Dimensions:

The role reports into the Head of Business Effectiveness with a scope for the Southern Europe Market.

Strong multifunctional teamwork is encouraged to deliver on objectives of the market intelligence area including areas such as: Southern Europe Sales, Customer Marketing, Marketing, Consumer Insights as well as global functions such as Global Sales, Global Consumer Insights and Digital and Technology area (D&T).

There is no direct P&L responsibility, however the role is fundamental to drive find opportunities and influence plans that will drive sales growth.

The role will have responsibility to develop a team of market intelligence analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.

The person in the role will also be responsible to handle external information providers such as Nielsen and/or IRI.

Accountabilities:

What you will be responsible for:

  • Market Analysis: In collaboration with the Consumer Insight area, building on research and publicly available information, identify growth opportunities, consumer trends, competitive landscape, and potential risks in the Southern Europe Region's alcoholic beverages' market that could impact short to mid-term sales.

  • Forecasting and Trend Identification: Develop insightful category forecasts, by taping into resources like the global tool Demand Radar, and external sources like IWSR and Euromonitor. Adjust those forecasts with new developments in the market and proactively identify trends and emerging opportunities that could impact the business.

  • Competitor Insights: In close collaboration with Customer Marketing team and Sales supervise and assess the activities and strategies of key competitors within the region, providing regular updates and analysis to relevant collaborators.

  • Business Performance Evaluation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the evaluation of the performance of existing products, brands, sales areas, and channels, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

  • Strategic Recommendations: Translate market intelligence findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to support the development of marketing strategies, product innovations, and go-to-market plans.

  • Collaborator Management: Build strong working relationships with regional and global teams, marketing, sales, and leadership to ensure market intelligence insights are effectively communicated and coordinated into decision-making processes.

  • Data Management: Ensure the timely and accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of market data, using appropriate tools and systems to provide actionable insights.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of market intelligence analysts, providing guidance, mentoring, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities.

About you

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.

  • Validated experience of 5 years in market research, market intelligence, or related roles within the alcoholic beverages industry or consumer goods sector.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and forecasting.

  • Proven track record to derive actionable insights from sophisticated data sets.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to optimally convey findings and recommendations to partners at all levels.

  • Experience in leading and developing a team is preferred.

  • Proficiency in English

  • Speaking one of the following languages: Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek or French is a plus.
