Description

We are in search of a meticulous Senior Accounts Receivable collections specialist to join our team in Irving, Texas. The primary function of this role involves managing customer accounts, handling collections and receivables, and ensuring the application of payments. This role also entails understanding and processing lien waivers, bonds, recommending changes to customer status, and assisting in the management of our billing functions.

Job Responsibilities:

Collections & Receivables

• Collection of past due customer accounts in assigned area’s

• Recognizes and monitors designated accounts before they become a problem and recommend changes

• Overall customer account management: research and resolution of balances, unapplied payments, and ensure proper application of payments

• Recommends periodic changes to customer status

• Records collection information on customer’s accounts

• Logs information about customer service interactions into systems

• Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line and coordinating contact with Credit & Collections Manager and sales department

• Resolve customer disputes, making every reasonable effort to collect

• File notices to customers, general contractors, owners, and insurance companies as per the Texas lien laws

• Understand and process lien waivers

• Understand the Construction Chain to minimize risk

• Accurately complete weekly A/R reporting package (ATB’s)

• Distributes external collection reports

· Prepare and scan checks for bank deposits

· Process credit card payments

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions and Collection Processes

• Knowledge of Liens and Bonds

• Expertise in Excel Formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Table

• Construction Accounts Receivable experience required

Requirements

Qualifications

• Construction collections experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance an asset

• Provide support and share knowledge while maintaining excellent communication with customers, sales, billing, dispatch and other divisions

• Experience using Oracle Cloud, SmartView, and Power BI an asset

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Organized and detail-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement and automation with a strong attention to detail, sense of ownership, and accountability.
