Robert Half Tax Manager - Public in Irvine, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the public industry, located in Irvine, California. You will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and consulting activities within the organization. This role involves managing the company's corporate income tax and ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's tax compliance and consulting activities.

• Manage the company's corporate income tax and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.

• Use your strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills to maintain the company's tax records.

• Utilize your knowledge of broad-based statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes, taxation of international activity, and transfer pricing.

• Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional client service.

• Utilize your experience in OneSource Tax Provision.

• Work closely with the team, demonstrating strong teamwork, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

• Travel as needed to meet with clients or attend industry events.

• Utilize your skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Compliance, Entity Formation, and Income Tax Accounting. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Proven ability to handle Accounting Functions

• Experience in Auditing

• Strong understanding of Compliance requirements in the tax sector

• Knowledge of Entity Formation processes

• Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus

• Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
