Army National Guard Units Logistics Management Specialist in Guernsey, Wyoming

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Logistics Management Specialist, Position Description Number PDD1177000 and is part of the WY Training Center Command, Wyoming Army National Guard. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to function as the logistics manager of the organization responsible for accomplishment and oversight of logistics plans, activities, and actions. (1) Develops, implements and evaluates the logistic policies for the organization. (2) Ensures compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. (3) Provides guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistic funds. (4) May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. (5) Provides technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. * This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. * Requirements Conditions of Employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Primary consideration will be given to current WY ARNG military members. If required, additional areas of consideration certificates may be released to hiring managers. Open to US Army, Army Reserves, and Army Nat'l Guard military members only Must be assessed into WY ARNG before appt. May take up to 120 days. Must become a member of the Wyoming Army Nat'l Guard before appt. Must submit ERB or DA Fm 2-1 with application. Must possess or be able to obtain/maintain a T3/SECRET security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination of these military incentives. Relocation expenses will not be paid by the Government unless noted in the Announcement. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives. Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician. Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the Training Center Command. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current M-day soldiers of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current military members of the US Army, Army Reserves, or other states' Army National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Army National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves performing or supervising staff work in planning and coordinating logistical support activities to provide the money, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support a specified mission at the time and place they are needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g., 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. Per 10 USC 10216(b)(1)(C): Those organizations with the primary mission of providing direct support surface and aviation maintenance for the reserve components of the Army and Air Force, to the extent that the military technicians (dual status) in such units would mobilize and deploy in a skill that is compatible with their civilian position skill. (e.g., aircraft mechanics must be compatible) DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license. Education SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: * College transcripts must be submitted if substituting education for experience. Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide unofficial copies of transcripts from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
