Job Overview: The Director of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) will lead our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team, driving the development and implementation of AI/ML initiatives to support the company's strategic goals. This role involves overseeing project management, leading a team of AI professionals, and collaborating with other departments to integrate AI/ML solutions effectively across the organization. Our ideal candidate would reside in one of our hub cities of Columbus, OH, or Atlanta, GA, but we will consider a well-qualified, full-remote candidate. We are not able to provide current or future sponsorship for this position. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and lead the AI/ML team, setting clear objectives and ensuring alignment with the broader business objectives - Oversee the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions, ensuring they meet quality standards and business requirements - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, IT, Product Development, and Operations, to integrate AI/ML capabilities - Monitor industry trends and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements to ensure the adoption of best practices in AI/ML - Manage budgets and resources, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively - Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation Qualifications: - Master's or Ph.D. degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, and 12+ years of relative professional experience, including 4+ years of management experience - Proven experience in leading AI/ML projects and a solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and statistical analysis - Experience in managing and developing teams in a technical environment - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with cloud platforms and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Prior work in a similar industry or with applicable technology stacks. - Experience with Dataiku, Data Bricks, or Snowflake What We Offer: - A collaborative and inclusive environment where innovation and ideas are valued - Opportunities for professional development and career growth - Competitive salary and benefits package At CoverMyMeds, we care about the well-being of the patients and communities we serve, and that starts with caring for our people. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
