Responsibilities

• Is accountable for performance of duties following established procedures to provide the most consistant, prompt and accurate policy underwriting possible in accordance with company guidelines.

• Responsible for promptly and accurately reviewing applications and making sound business decisions with regard to company guidelines

• Maintaining a high levelof current technical knowledge necessary for accurate, timely and efficient underwriting

• Assist new underwriters and other office staff learning underwriting policies and procedures

• Maintain the highest level of customer service skills

• Maintain schedules and work wll with others

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Ability to work with little supervision and to act independently

• Excellent telephone manner and ability to make routine decisions and recognize situations requiring management involvement
