RECORDS ANALYST I - Document Services - Records Management Center

This Records Analyst position will assist the Records Management Team with the management and implementation of TWC records management program. This position is an in the office position located at the Records Management Center, 4405 Springdale Road, Austin, Texas.

You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas.

WHAT YOULL DO The Records Analyst I performs routine (journey-level) records and information management work. Work involves assisting in designing, evaluating, reviewing, recommending, implementing, updating, and maintaining a records and information management program. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment

YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: -Assist employees with a variety of matters related to records and information management. -Scan, store, index and classify records. -Gather information to help with the identification of records to ensure they are correctly categorized for records retention. -Assist with gathering records to respond to open records requests in accordance with the Public Information Act. -Assist with setting up and utilizing records management systems and formulating filing systems. -Assist with the identification and transfer of inactive records including preparing records for storage or destruction. -May assist with developing and conducting records management training for agency staff. -May assist with the identification of the agencys vital records and the creation and maintenance of the agencys vital records protection and disaster recovery plans. -Perform related work as assigned.

YOU QUALIFY WITH: -Completion of two years (60 semester hours) of accredited college or university. -One year of full-time experience in records management work may be substituted for each year (30 semester hours) of education.

OTHER THINGS WELL BE LOOKING FOR: -Knowledge of foundational records management theory and practice. -Knowledge of records management laws, policies, and procedures. -Ability to research, analyze and evaluate data and information to formulate conclusions and communicate guidance orally or in writing. -Experience in Customer Service -Experience/skill in utilizing Microsoft Office programs and applicable software. -Ability to follow prescribed records management standards. -Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high quality work with great attention to detail and accuracy. -Ability to apply standardized information management strategies and procedures to unusual and/or critical situations. -Ability to communicate effectively. -Ability to lift 45 pounds.

Work Schedule: This position is eligible for partial schedule teleworking up to two days per week after successful completion of 30 days in office training. The candidate will have a secure, dedicated workspace with Internet service, ability to maintain a reliable and con istent work schedule, and availability for weekly meetings and group collaboration via Microsoft Teams and other applications during regular business hours. Ability to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
