Eaton Corporation Product Specialist- Low Voltage Motor Control Centers in Airdrie, Alberta

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently hiring a Product Specialist - Low Voltage Motor Control Centers to join our team. This position is based at our Airdrie, Alberta facility and offers benefits from Day 1.

What you’ll do:

Primary Function:

The Product Specialist will support the legacy LV-MCC portfolio through direct customer engagement, Canadian Field Sales, and our channel partners. Under the guidance of the LV-MCC Product Manager, the specialist will provide support to the vast fleet of legacy MCCs currently in service throughout Canada. Responsibilities include but are not limited to technical support and training to our GSF, LVCA factory support, creation of new engineered solutions to address the replacement MCC Aftermarket program, life extension demands of the utilities. The Product Specialist will work with other Eaton teams, establishing comprehensive MCC certification programs.

Essential Functions:

• Providing a substantial value proposition for our LV-MCC offering.

• Preparing electrical designs, specifications and schematic drawings using AutoCAD.

• Through customer and other market inputs, contribute to the strategic road-mapping process.

• Work with both internal and external teams to improve customer experience.

• The incumbent must also possess the ability to provide leadership; technical guidance and value add engineering to field sales.

• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Values and Philosophy, as well as Safety and Environmental standards.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical engineering

• Two (2) years of experience with electrical assemblies, electrical distribution, and protection technology.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

• No relocation is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within an 80-kilometer radius of the Airdrie, Alberta facility will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of experience in an engineering role in electrical assemblies, electrical distribution, and protection technology.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.

• Working knowledge in Inventor.

• Ability to read and interpret multi-discipline engineering drawings is required.

• Two (2) years of experience in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.

• Prior experience in roles such as Customer Order Engineer, Product Engineering Specialist, Inside/Outside Sales Representative, or Project Management Solution Specialist.

• Electrical engineering Control Schematic design experience.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Strong understanding of Eaton’s electrical product offerings at the component and final assembly levels.

• Strong ability to read and interpret a broad range of electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, technical specifications, and commercial documents.

• Expert level skills with control product application and configuration of assemblies in Bid Manager.

• Attention to detail in all aspects of product development, configuration, and pricing disciplines.

• Ability to identify and assess risk associated with large and major project execution.

• Ability to perform assigned duties in a team atmosphere.

• Strong knowledge of competitor capabilities, market conditions, and market channels.

• Extensive knowledge of electrical and business codes, commercial transactions, and selling/pricing policies.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, consultants, channel partners and Eaton personnel at all levels.
